How to Fix QuickBooks Online (QBO) Login Problems for Chrome?

Try out the below solutions to resolve QBO login problems with Chrome:

Solution 1- Try a different Web browser

As explained earlier also, other than Google Chrome, QuickBooks is quite compatible with browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer. Though, if you are unsuccessful in logging in into the Chrome browser, you need to try out Internet Explorer or Firefox. With Internet Explorer web browser, you can also export data back to QuickBooks Desktop. Check whether using a different web browser fixes QB Online login issue.

Solution 2- Use Google Browser in the Incognito Window

You can amend the QBO login issue by logging into QuickBooks through Google Chrome Incognito mode. Log-in done in this way helps out when you could not Log-in to QuickBooks via the usual manner.

The Google Chrome Incognito Mode opens a window that does not saves your browsing and download history. It will also not save any new cookies permanently.

The Incognito mode is very easy and simple to use. Follow the exact steps:

  • On the Chrome Browser, click ‘Customize & Control’ icon
  • Now choose ‘New Incognito Window’ (You can use the shortcut key CTRL+SHIFT+N)
  • You are on a separate window in the Incognito Mode.

Solution 3- Clear History/Cache

By now, the above two solutions should have solved the QBO login problems you were facing. Ironically, if you are reading solution 3, it means the problem is still there.

Next thing that can be done to resolve the online QuickBooks login issue is clearing all the ‘Old History or Cache.’ History/ Cache might be, in fact, the reason for your QuickBooks slow performance and you not being able to log in.

Follow the steps given below to clear History/Cache –

  • Click ‘Customize and Control Icon’ in your Google Chrome web browser.
  • Choose ‘Settings’ option.
  • Now, click on Advanced at the bottom of the page.
  • Look for Privacy and security.
  • Under Privacy and security, click on the ‘Clear browsing data’.
  • In the Clear browsing data window, click on the Advanced tab.
  • Now, go through the list and choose the appropriate boxes wisely so as to clear out the cookies and other site data, browsing the history, cached images, and files, etc.

Click ‘Customize and Control Icon’ and click on History, you will find nothing there.

Solution 4- Add another Chrome User

The last resort is to add another user to your Chrome and then check for QBO login issue. To add in another Chrome user, follow the steps given below –

  • Go to Google Chrome and Select ‘Settings tab’ that is on the left side.
  • Near the base of the page, you can see a ‘Users ’
  • Now press ‘Add New User’ dialog box
  • Select an Icon, type a name, leave ‘create desktop shortcut’ option and press ‘Create’

You can see the ‘New User’ Icon on the top of the left corner of the browser. If you desire to switch the user, then click on the ‘New User’ icon. However, if you want to change to a different user then open a separate window.
