QuickBooks Error 9000 occurs when a QuickBooks user tries sending payroll information or direct deposit paychecks. This error is one of the common errors faced by a QuickBooks user. It can be caused by a variety of factors. You can get one of the following messages when you encounter QuickBooks Error 9000 –

  • QuickBooks Error 9000 or Payroll connection server. Please try again later.
  • Error 9000: QuickBooks has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Symptoms of QuickBooks Error Code 9000

You may face the following symptoms when you encounter QuickBooks Error Code 9000

  • QuickBooks Error 9000 message appears on your screen.
  • Your active program window gets crashed and an error message is displayed.
  • Your computer crashes or freezes frequently with an error message displaying on the screen.
  • QuickBooks freezes or stops responding.
  • Your PC becomes sluggish or responds slowly to inputs from keyboard or mouse.

  1. You are encountering Internet Connectivity problems.
  2. The system date and time is wrong,
  3. QuickBooks is being used in Multi-User Mode.

Solutions to fix QuickBooks Error 9000

Solution 1: Cleaning Out The System Junk

  • Choose the Windows key on your keyboard.
  • Type “command” in the search box.
  • Select the keys CTRL+SHIFT simultaneously hit enter.
  • You will get a permission dialog box on your screen.
  • Click on Yes.
  • Type “cleanmgr” in the box that opened on your screen and press ENTER.
  • The tool Disk Clean up will provide you an estimate of how much space has been occupied by the junk files and the disk space that you can reclaim.
  • Choose all the appropriate boxes.
  • Tap Ok to begin the cleaning process.
  • Restart your device once your computer has been cleaned and reopen QuickBooks. If you still face the same error, move on to the next solution.

Solution 2: Check QuickBooks Desktop Internet Connection

  • From the Help menu, select Internet Connection Setup
  • You have to select “Use my computers Internet connection settings to establish a connection when this application accesses the Internet.”
  • Tap on Next.
  • Visit Advance Connection Settings > LAN Settings.
  • Click on.
  • Verify that the “Automatically Detect Settings” checkbox is selected and the “Proxy Server checkbox” is not selected.
  • Tap on OK twice.d
  • Choose Done.
  • Resend your payroll information.
