Obviously, it is always better to be prepared against such crashes as there really isn’t much to do about it. When a system crash or hard drive failure occurs, it is a matter of worry amidst daily QB users. It can very hard to cope with the fact that all the data has been lost. Even if a small computer crash occurs it is likely to cause lots of loss especially in case of essential documents, emails, contacts, user profile, password, bookmarks and more. This blog post has been written to prepare you well for times that these crashes occur.

Here is how you can stay ready for a computer crash:

Keep Backups of Your Data Files

Essential files are called ESSENTIAL for a reason and losing them can be very detrimental. Therefore, it is always wise to keep a backup of these important files so that they can be used later. Computer data can be affected due to various causes of which virus and malware infections are most common. This is why most people save data to flash drive or CD. It is important to be aware of such unwanted items that may harm your device or data by regularly making the backups of your company file. This step would ensure the security of your essential data.

Create Backups Periodically

It is important to keep a backup of data and files from time to time. Obviously, it is difficult to answer how often but wise to keep whenever you feel the need to do it. For example, a writer should consider keeping backups of their work once or twice in a month.

Create and Store Backups like a pro

  1. Most of us keep wondering how often is it needed to create backups for our files and important data. Now a matter of consideration is that doing this is no easy a task. However, the only answer to all such questions would be to create backs up whenever possible so that no matter what problem occurs and when you know your files are safe in your device. You can create keep on creating daily, weekly or monthly backups depending on the requirement of your work and dependency on your computer data. However, note that the backup is not kept postponed for too long.
  2. Flash drives, CDs, and external hard drives are the best tools you can use for backup. You may also consider NAS or cloud storage to store your data. External may have a large space to accommodate your data, but they are not very portable. Hence, it is important to use such tools with the utmost care.
  3. NAS (Network Attached System) is like a system with the same sort of costs and needs. It needs to be configured to not be accessible directly from a system as a system drive. It is fair to say that this one is an excellent choice but not affordable.
