Users who have monthly QuickBooks Online Subscription and operating from the United States of America are eligible for Downgrade. But they need to be extra cautious of complete stoppers.

Who are these complete stoppers and what are the possible steps for an easy downgrade?

Who is Complete Stopper?

Complete stoppers are blockers which intercept users from downgrading their subscription. After that, they revert the given downgrading to the dashboard when users wish to start the given process.

How should users downgrade QuickBooks Online Subscription?

Users need to consider all the risks regarding downgrading before choosing this process. There might be cases when users encounter complete stoppers. If users wish to opt the same subscription again, then they would have to wait for another 24 hours after they have downgraded their account. So, here are the steps which users need to follow for an easy downgrading.

  1. Users need to first log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Then users need to enter the given URL https://qbo.intuit.com/app/changeplan over the current URL.
  3. The Change Plan will pop on the screen. It will display the entire current plan which the users are using in the software including the plans which users want to downgrade.
  4. Click on Choose Plan and the plan which users want to downgrade. It will indicate that users wish to change the current subscription plan. Thus, it will lead to a feature loss screen.
  5. Then users need to review all the items which will impact the most after downgrading. Then, they should click on Next.
  6. Now during this complete process, there might be a chance that stoppers will appear to hinder the current progress. Users are advised to continue the rest of the steps without any hassle.

  • Inventory: For deactivating a product or service:
    • Users should first run a report for all items which are currently active.

Note: When downgrading, the quantity will vanish.

  • Then they should select the Gear icon.
  • There under Lists, they should select Products and Services.
  • Then users should select the arrow which is on the far right of the product or service.
  • Then click on Make Inactive.
  • Select yes to confirm.

For activating a product or service:

  • Users need first to select the Gear icon.
  • Then under Lists, users should select Products and Services.
  • Then they should select the Filter drop-down and then the Status.
  • Then, they should click Inactive or All and then select Apply.
  • After highlighting the row of the stable product or service, they should choose to Make Active to make changes.
